When was your last appointment with your family doctor or diabetes specialist? When was the last time you met with a certified diabetes educator or dietician? What about your dentist? Dental care is particularly important when you have diabetes. Do you use one pharmacy only so that your pharmacist has a complete picture of all of the medications you are taking? What about your feet? When did you last have your eyes examined?
All of these questions are important if you are living with diabetes. Every day people with diabetes make the choices that directly impact their quality of life and life expectancy. Working effectively with your health care team and being educated and staying on top of your numbers is what it is all about!
